Hi, Telerik! I need your help!
I am trying to add reference Telerik.Reportig.dll version 3.2.9.1104 to SilverlightClassLibrary. But it's appear an error message: you can't add a reference Telerik.Reporting.dll as it was not built against Silverlight runtime. But i need in it my Silverlight application. Wich version of dll I must use?

Hello sofi sofi,
As the error clearly states, the Telerik.Reporting assembly is not needed for the Silverlight project and you cannot add reference to it as it uses different runtime.
Getting Started with Telerik Report Viewer for Silverlight video is the right place to start with and get familiar with the Silverlight report viewer. Also the Telerik Reporting samples (for Visual Studio 2008) that are installed on your computer (in both C# or VB.NET versions) have a working Silverlight application that you may check as well.
Once you review these resources, you can check the documentation we provide for the SL viewer - the online version can be found here: Silverlight Viewer Introduction.
Kind regards,
Steve

But then why couldn't telerik create dll for silverlight, deficiency of that causes us to create a web service unnecessarily. Please do something to create the same so that we can directly create report in the silver light application.
Is is possible in future version?

Hello Sudhir,
Exposing the report object on the Silverlight client is not in our short term plans.

Hi,
Telerik Reporting is build for .NET. You may have to use a WCF service to call .NET method from Silverlight.

Hi Charan,
First we want to clarify that as explained in the IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON USING THE TELERIK REPORTING FORUMS thread, a post in the Forums doesn't guarantee you a response from the Telerik support. If you have an urgent inquiry it is best to open a support ticket, which is assigned a response time and would be answered.
As for your inquiry, we do not understand what you mean by "WCF service code". Please explain in details what you want to achieve, so we can advise you accordingly.
Kind regards,
Steve
