I am new to Kendo UI as well as Eclipse Luna.  I want to know the best practice on adding Kendo UI to my Dynamic Web Project in Eclipse Luna.  I found this outdated article, which did not help me out:

http://blogs.telerik.com/kendoui/posts/13-02-05/head_first_into_kendo_ui_for_java_developers

I have searched for answers on this, but not sure what I need to to.  Tried looking for a plug-in, searched Eclipse Marketplace, and tried to add the .zip file for the commercial release of Kendo UI, but cannot get those to work.

If someone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate any help.

Thanks!

Hello Dan,

I am not an expert on Eclipse Luna, but as far as I understand from these resources:
https://projects.eclipse.org/releases/luna
https://www.eclipse.org/

it provides support for Java 8 and additional features on top of the existing Eclipse platform.

Note that our UI for JSP product supports JDK 1.7 (Java 7), as explained in this help article, and even though we have not tested it with Eclipse Luna yet, there shouldn't be issues integrating it with this IDE. You can follow the instructions from the topic to see whether everything works as expected.

On a side note, according to previous communication with my colleague, you are using Kendo UI Professional currently. Note that our JSP wrappers and tag libraries for Kendo UI are included solely in our UI for JSP product. If you would like to upgrade one or more of your company licenses to UI for JSP, please contact our sales team at sales@telerik.com.

Kind regards,
Sebastian

I just copied over the correct .js and .css files into my Eclipse workspace folder.  It seems to be the easiest way to get started.
