I'm wondering if anyone can give me any pointers on how to add a custom font to my reports. The reports will be rendered as PDF. I have the font installed locally but want to be able to use it in my reports. Thanks!

Hello,

Generally by default our PDF rendering embeds the required font subset in the PDF document. Thus if the fonts are installed on the machine that will render the reports in PDF. The rendered reports will work with the used font on any machine.

Have you tried the new visualization options in Telerik Reporting Q1 2013? You can get them from your account.

Hi,

I have the same task to do here. I downloaded Noto Sans SC fonts and installed them on my local computer. tried running the solution and download the PDF report but I do not see any change. Can you suggest as what step is missing?

Hi Morten,

I have explained the problem in more detail in the Support Ticket you opened on the same issue.

Briefly, your report displays Arabic and Chinese characters in the same report item with Noto Sans font. Here are the Glyphs supported by the Noto Sans Font. I think neither Arabic nor Chinese glyphs are supported.

You may test with fonts supporting the corresponding language:

There is a regression in the Reporting version 19.0.25.313 when resolving the above fonts. The problem is fixed and will be released with our next version, scheduled for the middle of May 2025. With older Reporting versions from 2024 and back, there shouldn't be an issue, though.
