Hello,
I see that the converter is still stuck on (now very old) ActiveReports 3 series. I have a myriad of reports I would love to bring into the Telerik fold, but don't have the resources to rewrite from scratch.
Is there any hope of seeing a 6 or 7 converter in the future? I can see from 2009 posts that it was "in the works".
Best,
John

Hello John,
Peter
Telerik
Currently we don't have plans to update the converters. However you can download Telerik Reporting source codes and use our converters code to create your own converter for ActiveReports 6 and 7.

Have you tried the new visualization options in Telerik Reporting Q1 2013? You can get them from your account.

Could you explain what kind of issues you are facing on converters in ActiveReports? Are you trying to convert to ActiveReports 6 or 7?. Does the converter hang or the compilation fails after the reports are converted. If possible, please post on ActiveReports forum or email me at rajnish.sinha@grapecity.com and we will be glad to help you out.
Thanks
Raj

Hello Raj,
Yes, we are considering converting from ActiveReports 6 (and now 7) to Telerik. I saw some posts back in 2009/2010 in the reporting forums of people asking about Activereport converters that would work on version 5 and above. At the time the team stated that they were being worked on but not a top priority.
We don't have the resources in-house to write our own converter as suggested - I was wondering what the official word was from Telerik on providing converters for the Activereports 6 and 7 releases?
Best,
John

I work for GrapeCity/ComponentOne that sells ActiveReports. I wanted to see if you can share some of the issues that you are having with converting the ARN3 reports to AR6/7. If there are issues with the converter we will fix it immediately. Let me know if you would be willing to get in touch with us and we will take care of it.
Thanks
Raj
