I am using a report generated via the report wizard to print lables. The layout is 8 by 8 (lables).

No matter how much tweaking of widths, margins etc I do when I save to pdf the lables only print 4 across the page. It actually prints a few rows with 4 labels and then prints less on additional rows.

Anybody any idea how to make this thing work? Seems quite basic....

Hello David,

As noted in the Creating Multi-Column Reports help article, column data is rendered down the page and then across. The detail section is printed once for every row in the data source similarly to a repeater and this happens vertically. The columns actually represent the separate pages of the report, which are treated as logical pages rendered on the same physical page. Columns are arranged from left to right, top to bottom, and are separated by white space between each, and data flow in the columns is top to bottom, left to right. If the report is divided into more than one column, each physical page is divided vertically into columns, each of which is considered a logical page. The easiest way to visualize this is imagining the columns in a newspaper.

Kind regards,

It is said that "Columns are arranged from left to right, top to bottom, and are separated by white space between each, and data flow in the columns is top to bottom, left to right. "

Any provision to set the data flow in columns from left to right rather than top to down.
