Hi there

Hope somebody can help here

My 3 issues are

1) How can I suppress the white space between page header and detail sections in a report

2) I have a background image which repeats in the Y axis to create a background border for the detail section for each page when exported to PDF, however if the data on the last page does not reach the end of that page, it only prints the background image down to where the data reaches, how can I force it to print the background image as a whole.

3) I have some text boxes which need to contain "*******" on any page except the last one, on the last one it will contain the invoice totals, any way I can do this in code?

Thanks in Advance

Sean

Hi Sean,

1. The reason for the whitespace that you see can be any, for example an empty group header or a section with its KeepTogether property turned on that is transferred to the next page. Since we cannot guess the reason, we would ask you to please open a separate support ticket and send us the report (or a sample project reproducing this behavior) that is displaying the white space between the page header and the detail section.

2. The background image is rendered only in the bounds of its parent element, so it is normal for it to appear only where the detail sections appear and not below. In this version of Telerik Reporting it is not possible to achieve what you are describing because once the report is over, i.e. at the end of the last detail section, nothing follows. For a future version we might consider providing some kind of page background/watermark feature, but currently I cannot specify a concrete time frame for that.

3. In case the text box you are talking about is in the page footer there is a possible solution of your problem. I have prepared a sample project demonstrating how to achieve it. Please examine it carefully and adjust it to your particular needs. I hope it will help.

Please, do not hesitate to contact us if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,
Ross
