Is there a way to specify the formatting of cells in Excel when
exporting through XML.
For example DateTime is shown with "No Format" and it's annoying for the user to have to select a formatting to get readable contents.

This inconvenience has already been reported and has been fixed. It will be available in the next release. I am afraid your users will need to do this by hand until the new version is released.
