Challenge
As technology evolves, it is vitally important for Nervogrid to stay on the cusp of what’s hot. As speculation grew that Microsoft could discontinue its efforts around Silverlight, the company knew it only had limited time to migrate its technology to the latest and greatest - HTML5.
Solution
Based on previous successes with Telerik tools, Nervogrid decided to leverage Kendo UI, the company’s comprehensive framework for building JavaScript and HTML5 websites and mobile apps. By employing HTML5 for a native look and feel, Nervogrid was able to save development time and effort.
Result
The migration from Silverlight to HTML5 took two months to complete, an estimated two-to-three times faster than developing an in-house solution.
