I tried installing UI for Xamarin using both Telerik_UI_for_Xamarin_2018_2_620_2_Trial.msi and TelerikUIForXamarinSetup.exe.

But my Xamarin installation is not getting detected.

Hi Von,

Thank you for your interest in Telerik UI for Xamarin.

Both the .msi and .exe installers of Telerik UI for Xamarin are meant to deploy the product binaries, examples and the Visual Studio extensions. From the provided information it seems that the extensions are missing for some reason. However, if the installation wizard completed without any errors, I suggest that you install the missing extensions (Telerik Xamarin VSExtensions) from Visual Studio Marketplace.

Please have in mind that the installation of Telerik Xamarin VSExtensions may take significant amount of time if the Mobile development with .NET workload is not installed. It is required and will be installed silently. Of course, if you choose, you can install the workload manually from Visual Studio (from Tools | Get Tools and Features...) before you install the Xamarin extension which is the more explicit approach.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Hello Von,

I am sorry if I confused you. By missing extensions I meant just the Telerik extensions (the Visual Studio project/item templates, menus and wizards) - Telerik Xamarin VSExtensions. However, could you please clarify what exactly prevents you from start using UI for Xamarin? You mentioned that the installation is not detected - please, be more specific here and let us know what makes you think so.
