ContextMenu

Hi,

in the RadDropDownMenu, I found there is a place call ContextMenu. May I know how can I make use of them?

I already have some code done in the ContextMenu. Is there any possible way to bind it to the newly created RadDropDownMenu?

Please advice.

ShapedForm in VS2008 Designer

I have a problem with ShapedForm (RoundRectForm) in VS2008 designer. Every time I open it in design mode, the size of the form changes (usually height grows). It happens even if there is nothing on the form. However, if there is no shape for the form defined, everything is OK (I didn't check other shapes).

The size is also different from designed, while app is running. Is there any way to avoid this behaviour?

Preventing DockPanels from being droped into DocumentPanes

Is it possible to prevent dropping DockPanels into DocumentPanes?

I have added a DockingManeger into my application. After file opening I am dynamically creating toolboxes (DockPanels) docked to the left of my form and a document (DocumentPane) filling the DockingManager. I want to prevent user from droping toolboxes into opened document and yet I want user to be able to dock toolboxes to any side of the form.

Activate MDI Child

In an MDI app, when I click on the tab for an existing document, the Active MDIChild of the DockingManager doesn't get set.
I have the IsMDIContainer of the form set to true
I have the AutoDetectMdiChildForms set to true.

What else am I missing?

GETting values from added row

I have another question in Q2 2008 I am using a grid and allowing the user to add new rows. The user clicks add new row, adds his data. How can I get the values out of that row. THe datagridview is loaded by a datatable. I would like to trigger an insert proc when ever the user leaves the new row.

Is this possible?

Rad Grid Themes

I am using the new release Q2 2008 and tring to apply the themes to the grid. I see there seems to be a few themes in the bun folder such as Aqua and Desert but when I try to set a them to the grid these themes do not appear. What is the secret to getting these to work as the grid theme.

How to change the background and border color? I'm able to change throught Edit UI item. How do i change it in run time using coding?

DateTime Picker in Ribbonbar

Hi, I was trying to add the RadDateTime picker to the ribbon bar programmatically by doing:

    
RadDateTimePickerElement dtPicker = new RadDateTimePickerElement();  

            dtPicker.Name = "dtPicker";  
        
            radRibbonBarButtonGroup9.Items.Add(dtPicker);

The radRibbonBarButtonGroup9 has already been added to a chunk in the ribbon bar, whenever I try to launch the application, the application does not load up.

Key Up Event in Rad Grid View

Hi,

I have a grid view. I want to validate each cell element, when user does Key up or Key down on the cells. How would i do it. I tried radGridView1_KeyDown , radGridView1_KeyPress and radGridView1_KeyUp events, but these events are not getting fired when i do a Key up or Key Down. Do i need to set any property to fire it.

Any kind of help is appreciated.

Adding new record to RadGridView

Hi,

I enter some data in a column (new row) and then I will automaticly fill out some information in other columns when event CellEndEdit is fired.

Until the new release of Telerik I could use

Me

.RadGridView1.CurrentRow.Cells("Price").Value = 100

but if I use this now I get error message.

I could use

Me.RadGridView1.CurrentColumn = Me.RadGridView1.CurrentRow.Cells("Price").ColumnInfo

Me.RadGridView1.CurrentCell.Value = 100

But this doesen't work on invisible columns
