I'm not able to install Telerik UI For Windows 8 Xaml (or html) on Windows 10 Technical Preview from Telerik Control Panel: I get the message "Requires Windows 8.1 or Server 2012 R2".

As the Windows 10 operating system is not officially released by Microsoft and our products' compatibility with this environment is not put into testing phase the system prerequisites are set to the latest official Microsoft Windows version.
As a workaround for deploying the Windows 8 control on Windows 10 I would suggest to follow the steps below in order to get the product distribution:
- Log in into your Telerik account
- Click on the DevCraft Complete item in the Products & Subscriptions menu
- Click on the Download Installer and other resources button on the right side of the page
- Open the Browse all product files link for the desired Windows 8 product
- Download the Manual Installation (.zip) file
- Extract the content of the .zip file to the desired location
The content of the .zip file should be extracted to the following location in case you will use the VSExtensions as well: %appdata%\Telerik\Updates\
I have also prepared the following steps which aim to help you downloading the Windows 8 XAML/HTML VSExtensions in your Visual Studio using the Visual Studio Gallery:
- Launch the Extensions and Updates manager under the Tools menu of your Visual Studio
- Select the Online tab on the left side of the window and mark the Visual Studio Gallery sub-tab
- Type "Telerik Windows 8 XAML/HTML VSExtensions" in the Search Visual Studio Gallery textbox
- Mark the result item and click on the Download button
- Follow the installation steps and restart Visual Studio when prompted
Be aware that using the UI components and the VSExtensions on Windows 10 might not function properly and unexpected errors might occur.

Hi,
If you don't have DevCraft, you can do the following:
1 - Go to this "All Product Versions" link for UI for Windows 8 XAML (in step #4 above)
2 - Select the latest version (at the top of the list)
3 - Proceed with Step #5 above in Dyanko's post
NOTE: Please keep in mind that Windows 10 and Visual Studio 2014 are in pre-release preview and are not supported environments. This is a workaround to install the product and is not supported by Telerik Support. You may experience undesired behavior and inconsistent results.

The zip file available only contains one executable (a setup file) which indicates that Windows 8.1 or server 2012 R2 is required. I carefully followed the instruction given in the previous posts but maybe was I unable to get the right file, could you provide a direct link to the correct file so that I can give it a try.

I am afraid a direct link cannot be provided, as downloads depend on the users license. However, it turned out there was a glitch on our end, which resulted in faulty download, exactly as you described it: a zip archive with an executable in it. It is now fixed, so following the above description you will be able to download the correct zip package. Please, do let us know if you still experience problems with it.

can we use windows 8.1 telerik universal controls with windows-10 or vs-2015 universal store app?? or
any new release for windows-10?? i was working with windows-10(vs-2015 universal APP) and wanted port my custom app which was in 8.1 and was getting exception while init telerik radlistview(universal).
