[Solved] View Changing Event

I'm trying to respond to events as the Calendar changes, for example as a user moves to a new month, but I don't see any way to trap an event...like a View Changing or similar. There may be 1000's of entries and we are only loading a month at a time.

What am I missing?

Most of the event trapping in the calendar control is done through commands. You can read in our online documentation about the calendar commands. Here are several articles that could be useful to you:

• Commands Overview
• MoveToNextView Command
• MoveToPreviousView Command

As for selection -- you can use the RadCalendar.SelectionChanged event.

Also, it seems that the scenario you are trying to achieve is to load a subset of your special calendar slots only for the visible month -- the easiest way to do that would be through the CalendarStyleSelector / CalendarStateSelector mechanism described here (the respective SelectStyleCore(context, container)or SelectStateCore(context, container) method is executed for each visible calendar cell on view change so you can load only the appropriate special events based on the context.Date argument value).

This took a little work to figure out the best way, as the Date comes through as NULL and I'm populating things with async/await, but you pointed me in the right direction. Thanks!

After trying the MoveToNextView Command, I am able to write the custom logic but the view does not change to next month. Do I need to do anything else other than what is given in the online documentation?
