We've been using different themes for our application, and are having some trouble with the "Flat" theme.

When adding icons to widget contents (ex. Kendo Window), the icons don't show up. Reason seems simple: both icons and widget background are white. :)

This can be seen easily in the icons demo page (switch to Flat theme):

Any plans to make Flat theme work the same way as other themes, or any workarounds for this?

Hi Henry,

Currently, Kendo UI widgets use sprites for their icons and in the Flat theme most of the icons are white. In order to avoid the issue I would suggest setting some background to the icons which are directly placed within a Window. Take a look at this dojo and let me know if this fits the current requirements.

Hi Iliana,

and thanks for the suggestion.

Our app has theme selection enabled, so it needs to look good with any theme. Any hardcoded background colors would be a problem.

Just for info, I was trying out some of the predefined css classes (ex. "k-block") to color the icon background, depending on the theme. It's close to working good, but not quite. Do you know if there are better choices for that?

Hi Henry,

I believe that using the k-block class for setting background is OK. For your conveniece here is the modified dojo.
