As per subject, after last upgrade to Q3.2014 , when on a WPF project, launch the upgrade wizard, all Winforms dll are removed.

Also the inverse applies.

Older version i could have coexisting WPF and Winform references in same project.

Best Regards

Hi Andrea,

Thank you for contacting us.

Based on the provided information, we were not able to reproduce the problematic behavior. Could you please send us your project which may help us to locate and fix the problem more quickly? The following information could also be of help:

1. Could you please check the version of the extensions in the Help -> About Microsoft Visual Studio page? In case the version is older than 2014.5.1021, I recommend you update the extensions from the Visual Studio Online Gallery.
2. Are you reproducing the described behavior each time you run the Upgrade Wizard?

As a temporary workaround I would suggest you add the desired assemblies manually to your project. The steps below will help you to achieve this:

1. Launch the Visual Studio and open your project.
2. Right-click on the References tab and select Add Reference... option.
3. Browse to the latest Telerik UI for WinForms distribution and select the appropriate assemblies.
4. Clean and rebuild the project.

I am looking forward your feedback.

Regards,
Yana

Hi Andrea,

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

We have been trying to reproduce the described behavior since you have shared the issue with us and finally we found a similar scenario in which the Telerik UI for WinForms Upgrade Wizard removes the Telerik UI for WPF project which is with broken references.

As a result, we have logged it as a bug in our backlog and now it is fixed. I would suggest you update your Telerik WPF and WinForms Visual Studio extensions with the latest version from the Visual Studio Online Gallery, as it shown below:

1. Launch your Visual Studio.
2. Select Extensions and Updates... option under the Tools menu.
3. Expand the Updates tab and choose Visual Studio Gallery.
4. Mark the "Telerik WPF VSExtensions" and press the Update button.
5. Restart the Visual Studio when prompted.

Could you please repeat the described steps for the Telerik WinForms extensions and check if the issue with the Upgrade wizard still persists?

Please let us know in case any further assistance is needed.

Regards,
Yana

Hello,

I'm also experiencing very slow upgrade operation. I use VS2015, TFS source control and latest version of Telerik VS Extension, and a MVC solution.

Upgrade from  2015.3.1111.545 to 2016.1.226.545 nearly took 1 hour, after 45 minutes it stuck. So I ended VS2015, reopened my solution. But this this time I changed autosync value to false in _references.js (/// <autosync enabled="false" />). As soon as I restarted upgrade process, it only took 5 minutes tops to complete the operation.
