Hello,

Try set up a datalink server local mode and based on docs of telerik, dont get it really...

some question about the documentations, on http://docs.telerik.com/platform/backend-services/rest/data-connectors/data-connectors-set-up-datalink-server-wndows#setting-up-authentication  the options 'Data Link Server URL' not sure where configurate that (local on one server, i put 1 odbc configuration on local machine see attach file 1.jpg), 'Connection String' could be localhost on local ddbb??

At the momento cant pass of test Data Link Server, want to ask if have a any sample simple with conection for testing. (see attach file 2.jpg)

Hi Josue,

Thanks for posting to the Telerik Developer Forums. As to your questions.

The Data Link server  is an application that bridges the requests between your Backend Services project and your SQL database located on your premises.

The above means that the URL of the Data Link server should be a public IP address (for example, XXX.XXX.XX.XX:9090) or a FQDN (https://myserver.example.com:9090) with a combination of a port number.

You may need to consult your system administrator about how to obtain this.  Please have in mind that in the firewall of this Windows machine you have to enable inbound connections on the port used by the Data Link server (9090 by default).

In regard to authentication.

 - Download the Authentication key from the Platform portal (as in the screenshot)
 - Log the Windows machine where the Data Link server is located
 - Browse for the folder where the Data Link server is installed, usually it is called TelerikDataLinkServer, basically this is the extracted ZIP package.
 - Locate the keys sub folder
 - Place the TXT file with the Authentication key in this folder
 - You may need to uninstall the service and re-install it by passing the new parameter as shown in the documentation

I hope that this helps.
