Does this mean that Xamarin for Android is dead and only the Xamarin Forms version will be supported moving forward?

Hi Gerry,

The answer for this is the same as my answer for iOS, I'll repeat m here for folks visiting this post in the future.

If you're using UI for Xamarin (Android or Forms), this won't affect you. It's only the non-Xamarin product that's been sunsetted.

In fact, we've doubled down on development for UI for Xamarin. The new product name for this is "Progress Telerik UI for Xamarin.Android". You'll see in yesterday's R2 2017 update, we've done a lot of work to make the product easier to use. From changing the way you use references (and nuget packages) to updated project templates.
