Good morning,
Im not sure if anyone else has run into this problem yet, but when I try to install the rad controls for winforms i get an error stating:
Error 1304.Error Writing to file Telerik.WinControls.Docking.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory.
When i click Retry, i get another error stating:
Error 2350.FDI server error
When i click Retry again, i get another error stating:
Error 1334. the File 'telerik.wincontrols.docking.' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet file 'data1.cab'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.
After that the installation rollsback.
I have re-downloaded the package and I still get the same error
If anyone else has received this error and have resolved it, i would really appreciate your response.

Hi Chris,
It looks like the installation file your are trying to run is currupted for some reason. Are you trying to install the dev version or the evaluation copy of the Winforms controls?
The exact size of both versions should be: 35,245,921 bytes. Could you check the size of the .exe file which you have downloaded. Also can you tell us whether you're trying to run the installation as a user with limited permissions or you're using an Administrator accout?
I hope we'll help you install the r.a.d.controls for WinForms successfully.

Thanks for your quick response. I am attempting to install the trial version.
RadControlsWinforms_CTP1_trial.exe
I have checked the file size of the installation package i have downloaded and it is 35,245,921 MB
as well my user account is assigned to the administrators group of my machine.
I have downloaded the setup twice, each to different directories and both give me the same error.

Thanks for providing us with this info. I think we should look for the problem somewhere else. Could you tell us whether you have Visual Studio 2005 installed on your computer?

Hello,
I do not have VS 2005 installed. i may have missed it, but is VS 2005 and .NET 2.0 a requirement for the winforms controls?

Hi Chris,
The WinForms suite will be available for .NET2+ only. We suspect that your problem is related to this. In the next version we will add a check for the framework version to avoid such problems.
