We need to implement a treeview with checkboxes in a dropdownlist so that multiple selections can be made by the user, like the functionality offered now by RadDropDownTree for WebForms. I see there is an example of a treeview (no checkboxes) in a drop down. We are developing now in MVC and would like to be able to do replicate this functionality with jQuery.

I covered this question in the support thread on the same topic, but I will post my answer here for convenience too:
Using a TreeView inside a DropDownList is not an officially supported scenario by Kendo UI. We do not have an official example demonstrating this, but there might be custom implementations on the internet, which are made by the community.
I would suggest you to post this as an idea in our Feedback portal or vote for similar ones such as this one. If it turns out that this widget is needed by most of our user, we may consider adding it in our development road map.
