Hello Nisi,

Thank you for the question.

Currently, RadComboBox does not support this scenario, and it could not be easily implemented. We have plans to develop a different control that would handle this case, which is scheduled for next year.

Do not hesitate to contact me again if you have other questions.

Hello Dipak,

Thank you for writing.

We still do not support treeview and ListBox in the ComboBox control. You can nevertheless implement a multiselect editor by adding check box items to the combo box elements. Please find how to do this in the following KB article:

Write me back if you have other questions.

Hello,
I was wondering if there is a planned date for the release that wil contain the RadTreeView in a combobox control?
Thanks,
Tamar

Hi Tamar Amit,

Thank you for the question.

Currently, we do not have an established time frame for the desired control. Generally, we have it in our plans, but it will be ready no earlier than Q2 2010.

For the time being, please find attached a sample project which demonstrates how you can embed a RadTreeView in RadComboBox. Please note that this is not a generic solution and it may not work correctly in all scenarios. Feel free to modify the approach according to your needs.

If you have additional questions, feel free to contact me.

All the best,
Nikolay

No, Basel Nimer, this will not enable the auto-complete feature. We will need to provide our own treelist control which to support auto-complete.

Hi Everybody. Q3 2010 is released, is there treeview support for RadDropDownList or for GridViewComboBoxColumn? Nikolay thanks for the sample project. Is it possible to do the same when editing GridViewComboBoxColumn in GridView?

Thanks,
Regards Armen.

Hi Armen,

This is not supported functionality in the current release of RadControls for Winforms. You can try to add the RadTreeView control in a RadSizablePopupControl instance to provide this behavior.
