I have two applications which both manage hierarchies using treeviews, allowing dragging and dropping of items into a hierarchy tree.

Sample1.jpg shows the working application, whilst Sample2.jpg shows the problem one.

They both work, but on one, the treeview correctly displays the lines to indicate where an item will be dropped, whilst in the other, the line is not shown apart from a tiny dot.  I've compared the two applications, and switched out the bootstrap themes and styles, and cannot identify the issue. In the DOM explorer, the treeview styles look the same.

The malfunctioning application is using version 2019.1.220 of the framework.

Any help to fix this issue would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hello,

The described behavior where the drag indicator is not visible was a known issue in versions prior to 2019 R2 release (2019.2.514). This is logged in the Kendo UI GitHub repository and you can review it from the below link:

The Milestone of the issue indicates in which release the fix is included. The fix for this issue is included in the 2019 R2 (2019.2.514), thus upgrading the second solution to this version of Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC or the newer 2019 R2 Service Pack (2019.2.619) should successfully resolve the issue. Important to note when upgrading the solution is to update both the Kendo.Mvc.dll, as well as the scripts and styles references in the Layout of the application.
