Transparent background for Tiles

One of the nice features introduced as part of wp 8.1 is the capability to use background image on your start screen. I am in the process of upgrading my apps to wp 8.1. Currently I use Telerik Live Tile Helper to create Flip style secondary tiles for my app. My tile's back side is created from a visual element. Is there a way I can make the back tile transparent. Even if I set a transparent background for the visual element, the tile's backtile background is set to phonebackgroundbrush. Any ways to generate a transparent backtile when you use a visual element?
