Developing a whole theme might be a cumbersome task especially if you are not familiar with our theming mechanism. For this reason we have created a number of articles that will help you get yourself acquainted with it. Here are the documents that will give you a glimpse of its internal structure and main principles: Starting Visual Style Builder, Concepts, Architecture, Getting Started. Additionally, I recommend you to have a look at all articles under the Working with Visual Style Builder folder. Last, but not least, you can watch our Visual Style Builder series at Telerik.tv
When you get familiar with our theming mechanism, you will be ready to start developing your theme. Here is a list of steps I highly recommend you to follow:
1. Open VSB and load the TelerikMetro theme (Loading predefined themes);
2. Make the changes you like and save the theme (Saving and Loading Theme Files);
3. Load and apply the theme to your application (Loading Themes from an External File, Loading Themes from a Resource, Applying Theme to a Control).
