Telerik Control Panel Requires Elevated Privileges

Would it be possible to change the Telerik Control Panel to elevate privileges at the time of install, instead of at start-up?  Our corporate machines are locked down in such a way that our developer admin accounts don't have access to the Internet at large.  This means that we can start the control panel but it immediately fails due to not being able to reach the internet.  It would be much better if the control panel could at least connect and download updates prior to asking for elevated privileges right before installing.

Telerik Control Panel requires elevated privileges and stable and constant Internet connection in order to operate properly. In this regard, the user is prompted for elevated privileges only once - at start-up.

If your machines do not have access to the Internet, I would suggest you to manually download the MSI installers of the desired Telerik products and put them on a share in your corporate network so everyone can access and install them. Please note that you will need elevated privileges to run the MSI installers too, because they deploy files per-machine basis.

As a workaround for the required privileges when installing, you can apply the ​AlwaysInstallElevated ​policy. Here is some additional information - LINK.

Thanks for the reply. I understand the need for the control panel to have both elevated privileges and Internet access.  My problem with the control panel is that it asks for elevated privileges earlier than it needs to, in my opinion, and I was hoping to pass this along as feedback to the control panel development team.  Downloading the MSI's as a work-around is fine though.
