Hello @all,

I've been trying to setup my Exchange server (which is hosted by Rackspace), but I cannot seem to leave the domain empty. The app always pre-fills it and it is causing authentication errors. The Rackspace Exchange platform does not need the domain to be passed, so I get 'INVALID USERNAME AND PASSWORD' everytime I try to setup Exchange.

(I use Exchange 2010)

Hi,

Thank you for your report.

Currently we do not support empty domain name. We will look into the problem and will let you know if we will be able to support empty domain names.

I'm also going to submit a request via feedback that this should be supported!

I have a Rackspace Exchange account and I cannot use Telerik's awesome task app either due to this error.

Hi Kenneth,

We'll do our best to provide support for empty domain name with the next update of Tasks.
We'll be pushing an update to the store sometime next week.

I am trying to sync with my exchange server tasks

It was not working – Error message says: “Synchronization error. Exchange authorization failed. Please check your username and password. Please contact us (Telerik; I didn’t do it) if you need help setting up your account. We will be glad to help! You can also contact your mail administrator with the following technical information: THE RESPONSE RECEIVED FROM THE SERVICE DIDN’T CONTAIN VALID XML”

Hi Phani,

From the information provided it seems that "Tasks App" is not able to connect to your Exchange server. Can you please make sure that "Email", "User name", "Domain" and "Server" fields in the "Configure Accounts" screen are entered properly? You can request this info from your mail administrator. Please note, that the "Task App" supports Microsoft Exchange Server version 2007 and higher. And also that the configuration ("Server" and "User name" specifically) is different if you are using "Office 360".

If the above information is correct and you are still unable to sync\connect to with the Exchange Server, please don't hesitate to contact us again.

Regards,
Vladislav

OK .. I really really want to use this as I think it is very creative and neat.  But for the life of me I can't figure out how to get Exchange synchronization working.  I have tried virtually every permutation and combination I still keep getting the error ...
Unable to connect to your account
username and/or password invalid
.. I know for a fact that this is not the exchange server set up issue .. I have it working from iPhone/Surface RT .. and bet yet I even downloaded TaskTask from the Windows 8 store and it Exchange Sync (including Flagged Emails) works.  Why is it that this particular app seems to have the issue?  I want to use this but Exchange sync is a deal-breaker.   Any chance you can help .. Thanks in advance for your support and an (almost nice) app.

Hello Kartik,
Please follow the instructions below for setting a synchronization account up:
•                     in the username field enter your email
•                     in the password field- your password
•                     in the email field- your email
•                     the value of the server field enter https://mailxyz.org/EWS/Exchange.asmx, where https://mailxyz.org is your server
•                     do not fill the domain field, its value is extracted automatically from the e-mail if nothing is entered into that field and check the "Server requires SSL" checkbox.

Let me know how this works.
