Strange behavior of the "data-option-label" attribute

Hello,
I'm using MVVM approach in DropDownList configure. Everything works fine but I unexpectedly stuck on the "data-option-label" attribute value == "[ None ]". This value causes error "SyntaxError: Unexpected token N ". Using '[ .. ]' instead of '( .. )' is very important for our designer, so.. please take a look at jsFiddle example. Thank you.

Bringing this to the top as I just ran into the exact same problem with the Q3 2013 release. It seems this has never been fixed?

I have managed to reproduce this in the latest version of the Kendo UI framework. We will take a deeper look into this and will get back to you with more information.
