I am putting my menu in a left side dock.

I would like to prevent them from closing this panel and prevent them from docking it to the top or the bottom.

ShowItemCloseButton is set to false...but the x is still there and they can close it...not sure what I am doing wrong there.

I can't find anything on the designer that would allow me to set which positions are allowed/not allowed.

Help!

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

Thank you for writing.

Regarding the first question, you can use the ToolWindow ToolCaptionButtons property to control the buttons that appear on the ToolWindow caption.

As for the question about controlling where users can dock windows and whether they can drag a window at all, you can use the DragDrop Service of RadDock. Here is a help article on the topic: Using the DragDropService. You can also see a sample application in our demos under Dock >> DragDrop Service.

I hope this will help you. If you have further questions I would be glad to help.
