I have just signed up for the Telerik Platform and am attempting to get a Backend Services project up and running.

I've cloned the Sample Friends app and put my Backend Services API key in where it belongs.

I'm attempting to get Facebook/G+ login working on the app so that I can build from there to get full user registration.  I'd also like to add Facebook wall posting, etc.

However, when I attempt to login using any of the social providers, I get the message: "The account quota is limited for this operation.".

I've searched the web for this problem and the issue seems to be one of 2 items:
- Not using 'http' as the scheme for the Everlive object - I've verified and I'm setting the scheme to 'http'
- Data usage quota exceeded - I just signed up for the service and created the project - I can't be over yet can I?

NOTE:  Communication with Backend Services is working as I'm able to use the "register" function within the app to create a new user.

Is there some setting I need to adjust to make "login with oauth" work correctly?

Hi Rob,

Unfortunately, the error message is really not enough informative for each case. This is a general error message appearing when a certain quota (or feature) for an account is not enabled.

The reason for the error in this particular case is that the Social User Management with Telerik Backend Services is not included in your Telerik Platform subscription plan. This feature is enabled in the Telerik Platform Professional or higher tier subscription plans and also comes with each newly-created trial account in the Telerik Platform.

In regard to implementing Facebook sharing and posting in a hybrid app built with AppBuilder one good approach might be to consider using the SocialSharing-PhoneGap-Plugin.

Please, let us know if you have further questions.

While I think that it, frankly, sucks that Social User Management isn't offered at the Developer tier (I mean, who doesn't need to implement social stuff into their app?), I do appreciate the definitive answer on what the problem is as well as the recommendation on an alternative solution.

Thank you very much.
