Row filter modifications changes the filter logic

Hi,

When showing a grid with a certain filter on multiple columns with the "OR" logic.
If the user changes one of the values in the filter row, it automaticly changes the logic of the filters to an "AND".

Hello wizmagister,

When filtering by different fields (different columns), the UI will always enable AND-expression filtering, as the user expects it. If you need to provide a different UI, do not show the filter row and handle the filtering logic in a separate form, and call the grid filter method manually.

Hello, I'm not sure why we pay for this kind of support. It's simply not true all users expect filters between columns to be AND. Our customers are creating these kinds of filters everyday (with DevExpress grids!).

Asking me to create my own filtering form is ​like telling to stop paying for Kendo and ​create my own ​grid because Kendo is a limited product and won't ​get any better.

Since it's not possible now, will Kendo include this or not ?

Don't refer me to User Voice, this is a basic feature, it should just be there.

We have logged this internally for consideration. You may still want to suggest it on UserVoice, so that the priority of the feature is visible to other users.
