Row Details Editing

I see in the examples application that row details can be used for editing.

Specifically, it says "Row Details can also be used for providing a more convenient editing environment for the end user."

I can't find any documentation, examples, videos or posts about this functionality though. Has anyone used this or know where to find information on it?

While looking around I found an alternative. Not exactly what I was looking for, but close enough for now.

I would love to see the functionality added for customized row editing as described here:

The example, indeed says that this approach can be used for more convenient editing and our framework allows it. We have provided you with all means to create such editing environment. You can read about how to create Custom Cells, how to use the editors and about the layout possibilities our TPF provides. If you prefer to, you can stick to the KB article or roll your own solution.
