I have need for a RichTextBox with spell check abilities.
Do you have any plans on adding this to WinForms?
Thanks.

Hi NORIS,

Thank you for your vote.

Yes, we already have such control in our plans for the future versions. However, at this time I cannot provide you with any specific time frame. I can only tell you that this control will be ready no earlier than Q2 2010.

PLEASE implement this in Q2 2010. It would be enormously helpful. There's really NO good control out there for windows forms rich text editing, without getting into the problematic territory of tying your product to IE (for html rendering). RTF would be fantastic, or even something relatively simple like TEXTILE for markup. And having a spellcheck in place would finally make the Telerik suite the "one stop" I need for everything I'm doing in winforms development.

Hi msulis,

Thank you for your feedback. I have updated your Telerik points for it.

As we stated earlier a spell checker might be available for Q2 2010. In the meantime, we will be happy to receive more feedback on the subject.

Greetings,
Nick

It looks like this wasn't included in the Q2 2010 beta... Is this still planned for implementation sometime soon?
Thanks!

Hello Garrison,

We never promised that this control would be included in Q2 2010. All we said back in January was that the soonest we could get this done is Q2, but as it turned out (see the Q2 2010 Beta) we were quite busy with other tasks.

The good news is that we plan to research (not implement!) a rich text editor implementation which we can use in our Windows Forms suite. We will have more details on this task in the September/October of this year. If the research goes well, we will post our implementation plans in the Roadmap.

All the best,
Vassil

Can anyone confirm if a Spell Checker was released for the Rich Editor? It is now a year on from this thread, but I cannot find mention of the control elsewhere (there is a spell checker for Silverlight though?).

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,

Thank you for this question. We have a spell checker control in our feature requests list. However, I cannot provide you with a time frame when it will be implemented. If you have any other questions, I will be glad to help.
