Good Morning everyone.  I have found a project that needs adjusted because the scheduler is showing blank rows.  I am very new to Kendo, so I have been looking around for a solution.  Each item is a person on the schedule for that day.  Attached is a clip of the Scheduler so you can see what I am referring to.

Hello Ryan,

From the screenshot attached it is not clear to me what the issue is. Can you provide a runnable sample where the issue reported can be observed? You can create a sample in a dojo, for example, with some dummy data. This way it would be easier to investigate the behavior.

If it is easier for you, you can modify this example and send it back for review:

Thank you for your response.  I will work on creating a dojo.

The gap I am talking about is if you look at the 5th.  You will see we have one row (shift) then 3-4 blank rows, and then the rest of the shifts.   On the 6th.  We have 4 rows, then 4 blanks, and then the rest of the shifts.

Hello Ryan,

Take your time to prepare an example and send it when ready. Looking at the screenshot again, I cannot be sure for the reason, but as 8th is highlighted it appears that there are some events without a title. Is it possible that this is the reason for the observed behavior?

Looks like a styling issue to me.  If you look at the screen shot attached.  The highlighted entry is effecting the cell on the right.

Hi Ryan,

In this case, I can suggest considering another color for the event, so that overnight shifts are distinguishable from the background. The Scheduler will display the events spanning over more than one day in cells for the day when the event is occurring, as seen in the updated example here. You can consider using an eventTemplate and if the event is longer than 24h set a different color for the event. We have an article demonstrating the approach here:

https://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/controls/scheduling/scheduler/how-to/appearance/set-event-color-in-the-template
