Hello,

We have two issues with the RichTextBox component:

1/ I can not find the RichTextBox in the Visual Style Builder.... It seems we can apply a theme on this component since in the Proprieties there is an option as "Theme Name". Please let me know where can I find it.

2/ Also when we had a RadRichTextBox in Visual Studio, the text set up in the proprieties doesn't appear in Visual Studio or when we run the form. Any idea why? We need multiline and HTML formatting for the text that's why we chose this component.

Thank you.
Regards,
Ludovic

Hi Ludovic,

Thank you for contacting us. Let us get straight to the issues at hand:

1. You are not able to see RadRichTextBox in the Visual Style Builder because the control requires .NET framework 4.0. Currently, the VSB tool is built for a previous version of the framework (2.0). We plan to make a 4.0 build by the next official release, however, there is not a scheduled date yet.

2. Unfortunately, RadRichTextBox does not support adding content at design time. Even though our documentation mentions design-time support, RadRichTextBox for WinForms does not allow predefined content. Our team would like to thank you for pointing out this discrepancy. I have updated your Telerik points for your report.

To set the document content use the approaches illustrated under the RichTextBox >> Feature >> Document Elements section in our documentation.
