Are there any plans to provide a UIElementAdapter for the RadRibbonBar controls? I'm planning on creating a CAB-application with a RadRibbonBar and it would be great if I could register the StartMenuItems, RadRibbonBarCommanTab and RadRibbonBarChunk as UIExtensionSites.

Hi Atle,
Thank you for your interest in TCEK.
We are planning to redesign our RadRibbonBar control in order to make it conform to the latest Office UI guidelines from Microsoft and also deal with some shortcomings of its current design.
When we are ready with the new RadRibonBar control we will provide UIElementAdapters for it in TCEK.
In the meantime you could try implementing UIElementAdapters for the current version of RadRibbonBar by looking at the UIElementAdapters that are currently implemented in TCEK.
now, a year and more has passed, the new Q2 2009 version is out and still there is no adapter for many of your cool controls, even the Ribbon.
Are you actually planning in providing this or should we go ahead and do this ourselfs over and over again with each new release?
Do you have some intel or roadmap on what to do - I know I can look it up - but my time is kind of limited..
Thanks
Ralf

Hello Ralf,
Thank you for writing. Unfortunately, there are already other tasks with higher priorities in our TODO list for Q3 2009 release of RadControls for WinForms. And as much as we would like to implement additional adapters for RadRibbonBar and other controls we will not be able to do so soon. However, what I wrote earlier still applies. You can implement the missing adapters that you need by looking at the currently implemented ones. I am sure that the community will appreciate this.
