Hi everyone,

A while ago we developed an app for one of our customers, using Telerik UI for Xamarin Forms. The app is used for showing financial data.
Recently, our client has made changes to the specifications and design of the used Telerik components.

At this moment my most experienced Xamarin developer is not available, but I need information if the design and specifications made are possible or not in Telerik UI for Xamarin Forms.
Can you provide me with information? As soon as I know what is or is not possible, I can pass this on to my client, after which my developer will be able to realize this as soon as he is present again.
Underlying information: The data from the charts and widgets is fed from an underlying database and can be configured yourself (the customer can decide for himself which financial data is shown where and hat is shown (line chart, piechart, bar chart or gauge))
See the added images

Gauge
In the current app of our customer, we did not use gauges. So far, we do not have any experience with it yet. I read on the Telerik website that a lot can be customized, but can not find clear information about how far this is possible.
Is this design of the gauge within Telerik possible? Think of the shape, whether it is possible to give the color / color gradient per gauge, the needle

Barchart
Is it possible to give a color gradient?

Linechart
In the desktop version of the application we use Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC. Here, bullets are shown per series in a line chart. Is this also possible in the Xamarin Forms version?

Hi Peter,

Thank you for the provided images.

We needed some time to make a research can we provide an examples with the features you described.

 Straight to your questions:
1. I have attached an example how you can customize the Gauge so it looks similar to the image you provided. Please take a look at the provided example for Gauge component and for more information refer to our documentation: RadGauge: Getting Started and RadPathGeometry.
2. If you want to set a gradient color in CartesianChart component you will need to create a custom renderer for each platform. Please take a look at the provided sample how you achieve these feature. You can also take a look at our documentation here for creating a custom renderer in chart control.
3. Could you elaborate more on this requirement as I am not sure what you mean with bullets. Thanks in advance.

Please take a look at the provided examples and let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Regards,
Didi

Hi Didi,

Thanks for your reply! We'll have a look at your files.

Regarding your question about the linechart: With bullets I mean the white dots that indicate the values in the line chart per series

Hi Peter,

I have attached an example how to create a point marks in LineChart per your requirement. This functionality is currently not exposed in Chart for Xamarin.Forms. However you can achieve that by creating a custom ChartRenderer for each platform where you will have access to the native control and you can change the appearance of the DataPoints.

Please take a look at the provided project and let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Hi Didi,

It's been a while, but it looks like our customer is willing to make the changes ons the charts and gauges,
One question about the Gauges (not the right place in the forum, but with all the information above I think it's clear for everyone):

Is it possible to make the Gauge (as in GaugeXF-1171097.zip) als in Telerik UI for ASP.NET MCV?
I think it is possible, but I'm just checking with you.. :)

Like to hear from you

Hi Peter,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Regarding to the Gauge control for ASP.NET MVC, if you want to change the type of the Gauge you can use a template. For more information, please take a look at the following link: https://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/api/javascript/dataviz/ui/arcgauge/configuration/centertemplate because the MVC component is a wrapper of the jQuery widget.

I hope the provided information could help. If you have any concrete questions about MVC components, open a new ticket and refer the product to Gauge for ASP.NET MVC.
