Hi,
I'm having a difficulty trying to make this design work. What I want is just to let the panels after the table to be positioned properly when the table size is growing.
Right now it's just messed up. It stays at the same position regardless of the table growing making it overlaps each other. (As you can see in the picture attached)
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Do you use Docking or Anchoring on those panels? There are some known issues in the paging of reports which items use Docking and Anchoring, and that could be the cause for the observed behavior. Please reset the properties and set the parent Panel item's CanShrink to True. This will let you have Panel items fitting each other, see Report Item Layout for more information.
If you would need further assistance, please attach the TRDP/TRDX report file alongside some sample data so that I may inspect the reported behavior locally.
Thank you for your response. I didn't see it at first.
Here's the files. Please.
The issue was caused by some of the items overlapping in the design which also caused them to be overlapped at runtime. Whenever there is a yellow warning in the top left corner of a report item, please read the tooltip of that warning sign which will suggest you actions for removing the warning.
For more information, visit the Design Considerations for Report Item Layout article.
I moved the report items in the attached report where the checkboxes were overlapping until the warning disappear and now when you preview the report, the checkboxes should no longer overlap with the table. The modified report is attached to this reply.
I see, thank you!
Based on your information and the modded report, I tried modifying my own and I found that only overlapping of the table and the panel item lower to it matters.
But strange enough, it doesn't show yellow warning? (how did you know it they were overlapping?)
I did see a couple of yellow warnings when I opened the report, see attached screenshot.
The lone warning was on the Assessment-Post panel(which was the parent to other subpanels where the checkboxes were located) so I moved the report items until that warning disappeared and then did the same for the rest of the warnings. After I had finished moving the items so that there were no overlapping warnings, I previewed the report and it rendered as expected with no overlapping items.
