When i am loading the page for the first time, even if i have records in the datateble, pagination is coming as NaN - NaN of 1 items.
but when i change the pagesize size couple of times it changes to 1 - 5 of 11 items.
Please help.

Same problem as you. I dint solve it because I dont want to write work arounds.Here a link to the fix:
