I own Telerik controls and see a dialog prompting me when I start a new session of VS 2010 to get the latest version.
2011.1.414.0.
Yet when I try to login to get it, using my email address and password that gets me to my account I get an error message:
"Latest version retrieval did not succeed. Possible invalid credentials. When I see download in my account section that version is not listed.
Can someone please explain?

According to our records you don't own a commercial license for Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC. You have downloaded only the open source version.
The 2011.414 build is a service pack and is available only to people with commercial license.

Hi, same problem here...
so if your previous reply stands, then WHY does the telerik updater constantly tell me I need to download an update that I'm NOT entitled too???
It seems very stupid to me, that if I'm not allowed that version, it tells me I should go get it. I think telerik should either allow us to download the update, or prevent the updater from informing us. It adds a good couple of minutes onto my VS2010 start up time having to deal with this every-time I run the program.

I have the same problem.
Would be nice if this version policy was stated clearly when you download open source as one is led to believe that the only difference is support or not + licensing terms.
The Telerik prices are so reasonable that from my viewpoint open source is uneccessary, but when something is free...and one does not need support....
Can you say anything about when new versions are available in open source in general?
