Multi-Select Drop DownList

Hello,

I'm working with the Kendo UI Drop Down List. I need to create a cascading drop down list where each drop down list supports multi-select. I would like to empower the users to "check" checkboxes associated with each item in the drop down list. 

Is this even possible with Kendo UI? If so, how? I can't seem to figure it out. Thank you!

Telerik, are you out there?  I don't know how many posts I've come across like this one...good questions, but no answers.  Your support has always been top notch, but I've been disappointed with the help on Kendo to this point.

 Telerik does not guarantee replies to posts in the Kendo forums because they are considered mostly a community resource. If you need guaranteed replies you could submit a support ticket with your question. 

 To answer your question - there isn't a currently a multi-select dropdownlist widget in the Kendo suite. It is in our long-term plans though. You may consider voting in our feedback portal: http://feedback.kendoui.com/forums/127393-kendo-ui-feedback/suggestions/2456294-multiple-select-widget

Is there any update on this?  Not sure why kendo controls wouldn't have almost the same functionality as your other suite of controls, much less something as common as this.  Is there a planned date for this release or is there any work around where I can accomplish this either with a dropdownlist or preferably combobox?
