How to catch long press of a button or ToolBarItem ? Seems there is only Clicked event. my requirement is to do two different tasks in normal click & long click.

How to achieve this. Preferably i want to know if this could be done without using custom renderers?

Thank you in advance

Hi Roshan,

Telerik UI for Xamarin doesn't provide long press behaviors that can be used on Xamarin.Forms components.

I recommend trying the Xamarin forums or StackOverflow (for example, here's an answer using Xlabs).

Any changes on this in the last three years?  LongPress seems to me to be a pretty standard gesture in iOS, surprised it is not handled

Hi  Joe,

LongPress is not available on Xamarin.Forms side yet - there are some solutions as the ones suggested in the previous post, still, there is no direct way for handling the gesture cross-platform.

What is the exact scenario you have at hand, what controls from the Telerik UI for Xamarin you're using? I would need more details on the use case, so I can provide concrete guidance.
