Using 2009.3.9.1203 version of RadGridView.
When I load a grid layout with LoadLayout and the grid has grouping, the topmost group does not sync with the grid until the user clicks on the group header. Top + n level subgroups work fine. None of the routines to collapse or expand groups works for the top group. Manually adding and removing the group does not work.

Hi Keith,

There have been some changes I believe to Load and Save Layout in the last releases. Upgrading to the latest build (2010 Q2 Build 914) should solve your issue.

Hope that helps

Sorry to hijack the thread here, but there seems to be additional problems. Maybe you can assist.

Save a layout with two groups, load it and notice that you can't click on any group in the Group section accept for the top one. I'm specifically talking about something as simple as just removing one of the groups (the second one in this instance) by clicking on the X option of the group; you can click on the top one but that is not what our users are trying to do. I'm currently using 2011.1.11.419 build of the Telerik controls.

Grid is bound to a datatable in a dataset.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hi Dave,

Thank you for writing.

I have tried a scenario which involved loading a layout, which contained two or more groups. However, I am unable to reproduce the issue. On my side everything works as expected and all group headers respond on a mouse click operation.

Could you please open a new support ticket and send me a small sample project, which demonstrates your exact scenario? This will help me to investigate the issue further and provide you with accurate assistance.

Best wishes,
