Hey Folks,

since i upgraded to the "new" AppBuilder from Icenium Graphite  - the LiveSync isn't working any more. I've checked the settings and i can still redeploy the app on my devices, however, if i change the code of my app, the app isn't refreshed after i saved the data.

Is this a bug comming with the AppBuilder Upgrade?

Hello Marcus,

We have an idea how this might have happened. In our new version of the application we rely on a new parameter in the token used for LiveSync with 3 fingers (menu button). If you have deployed an application before our release it will not pass this new parameter when the sync is being executed. The solution is to redeploy the application again as you have done. Note: the LiveSync with tethered device should not affected by this change.

Sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused. We will document this as a known issue for this release and will implement better error message in the future that guides the users to redeploy their apps.

Stefan Dobrev

Since upgraded to Platform.Telerik I have not been able to build a provision ios build.  After selecting provisioning profile and selecting Next I get this message:

After the this upgrade my application doesn't get live synced either when using the three finger long press to  refresh.  The html content does refresh some the js code doesn't.  Also, even before the upgrade I was not able to build from the Graphite interface but was able to build and download the ipa files from the Mist web client.  Now I can't do either.
Need help.

Hello Dave,

We did not find any attachments or indication which is the problematic app or does it happen on any app you create and try to build in AppBuilder for Windows (previously Graphite). If the problem persists, in order to help you further, we would need session logs from FiddlerCap (with the Decrypt HTTPS Traffic option enabled). Start it prior AppBuilder and save the HTTP requests to disk. Zip the sessions and upload them to a free file share site and give us the link here or alternatively open a support ticket and attach it in the ticket.

Steve

Here are the screen shots again.  This is my second attempt to attached them.
I would open a support ticket but I don't have any available.

Like I said I was never able to build a provisioned build for ios using Graphite but could build and download the ipa file using Mist and installing via iTunes.  Now I can do neither.  I'd assume my build errors would be accessible by Telerik's support staff.

Attached is the error building the Provisioned build for iOS using Windows client AppBuilder.  The error says "SR.net_http_client_execution_error"

Hi Dave,

Please share which is the email account you use to login to Telerik AppBuilder as the only app available in the account you use to post in the forum is Aes******_****ne and it builds successfully on our end. We would also need the name of the app.

Steve

Thanks Steve for responding but the project you found Aes******_****ne does not belong to me or my account - you found the wrong person.  I'd gladly send you my information but I'm not going to post my email on this forum.  I've been in contact with a Customer Advocate with Telerik so maybe she can provide you with my information or you provide me an email that I can send to.

I finally was successful in building my ios provisioned build but I had to create a new project starting over and then disable 6 Core Plugins.  See attached for the screen shot of the disabled plugins.  This project does have a third party barcode scanning Plugin that I left installed.  So after disabling the plugins I was able to build but I hope that I can some time re-enable the core plugins.

Also, I've noticed that switching between Projects in AppBuilder Windows client that my project fails to build and I had to follow these steps to fix:
1) closed AppBuilder
2) reopen AppBuilder and choosing my project
3) then building a provisioned ios build it was successful

Hi Dave,

Indeed I must have been looking at a wrong account - my apologies. Please send me your project name at support at icenium com and I would review it locally. It would be best if you could apply all changes that make the build fail, so I have something ready to look at.

Thank you for the involvement!

Steve

Thanks Steve!  I sent you an email with project information on the 2/10/2014.

I have discovered the cause of my errors when trying to build an iOS provisioned build.  I outlined steps to reproduce these build errors with screen shots in my email to support.  My project has a third party plugin included and would fail to build an iOS provisioned build 100% of time but if I removed about six of the Core Plugins then re-build would be successful.  I then tested my theory that there must be some project size that causing timeouts or unknown errors by re-adding the Core plugins I previously removed and the build failed again.

Hi Dave,

Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce the problem you describe locally neither with the Windows client, nor with the In-browser one, here is a short video I've taken with the Windows client.

As we cannot debug/comment on an issue we cannot reproduce, I would appreciate if you record your traffic with Fiddler as advised in earlier post, save the whole session (.saz), zip it and upload it to a free file server and give us the link here. You can also send it via email to our support address given previously.

If this proves to be a bug in our software, we would extend your license for the days you were not able to use it.

Steve

This is also happening to me, and is really starting to annoy me. First we had it with Android, and in the end got so fed up that we created another project and imported our backup, it magically started happening again. Until the other day and now it's happening to iOS devices.

I'm on the verge of just going native because it may be quicker than using Telerik! Is there any proper solutions to this yet?

I've also tried redeploying, from windows client and the web interface - I want to find a proper solution rather than having to create multiple projects, so annoying.

I've even just rolled back to an old version, and LiveSync still not working. Got no idea what the problem is. :(

After all that, I opened an older version of our project deployed it - live sync was ok. So I went back into the current version re-deployed again - and it worked!

Weird!

Hi Marcus,

I am sorry for your unpleasant experience. Currently we are aware of an issue with LiveSync via cable affecting our VS extension. It happens when configuration specific file e.g. home.debug.html has been saved which in result detaches the connected device and sync fails.

If this is not your case please describe which deployment method you use (on device via cable, on device via QR code or using our Companion app), client and the steps we have to follow in order to reproduce it.

If you have project that replicates the case please open a private ticket, attach it there and provide step by step guide.

Regards,
Zdravko
