Hi All ,
Please reply as soon as possible. As we are using Kendo JSP Taglib.
So please replay for the attached queries which are fit for jsp taglib
HI All,
Along with the above concern i am adding one more query related to chinese character and other language support during PDF Export.
Description:
When try to export chinese character inside kendo editor using PDF export toolbar some garbage values get exported.
So can you provide me the solution how to do it with chinese and other language.
I am not sure how these queries might be related to JSP Taglib as I am unable to define how one affects Kendo Editor widget.
As per to the queries:
- Using our online demos I am unable to encounter any troubles to select and decorate background color to text. Are you able to reproduce the same with the online demo linked?
- Right click on a link in the content area should open the browser context menu. Kendo Editor does not implement anything related to right click and I can only assume what might be the issue with that;
- The print preview is a browser component. Kendo Editor does not affect the content somehow so to appear differently decorated in the print preview. You can see that the same result will happen even if plain HTML is printed in Chrome. You can test that with this Dojo—http://dojo.telerik.com/egIMI.
- I am not sure that I understand what exactly is the problem with the fonts drop down. The images attached are too blurred and it is merely impossible to see what is shown there. Can you elaborate a bit more? What is the mentioned "option tag" and what is the "visible text"? What is the HTML selected? What is the font applied? And what is the expected result? I suggest you to try reproduce the same with the online demo and provide exact steps so to reproduce that locally.
- I am not sure how exactly Tab should work in the InsertTable tool and what it would be its purpose. If this is a feature that you would like to be implemented in Kendo Editor, I suggest posting your idea in the Kendo UserVoice portal.
- Adding a link in editor is just a plain anchor tag. The href is the value inserted in the Hyperlink manager and this is the URL the link should direct to. On my end, I am unable to encounter issues with that. Here you are a screencast of the test case—http://screencast.com/t/B3DBASkbST.

In this
case no CSS like color, font and Border value is preserved.
Due to this
strange behavior I am not able to deliver the uniform functionality throughout
the All Browser.
So just to
make the uniformity across all browser I just Off the paste event by putting
these code.
var editor = $("#${editorName}").data("kendoEditor");
$(editor.body).off("paste");
After putting these lines of code we are not able to capture the Paste
event hence not able to reformate the paste data and update the editor content.
For more reference here I am
pasting my code.

Hi All,
Can you please reply on above query asap.

Copying and pasting in Kendo Editor is something that is mostly controlled by the browser. Editor cannot provide a consistent result as the pasted content is firstly processed by the browser. Moreover, disabling the paste event you disable all possible logic for editor to handle pasting. Of course, this prevents the paste event to be raised and this is expected as the event handler is detached. In this case, you can attach your own using plain JavaScript and attach a DOM event. This, however, is a custom scenario that should be handled additionally.
Custom JSP tags is not something we support. Therefore, I am not sure how could I assist you on that.
Resizing of tables inside Kendo Editor is not a feature of the widget. Some browser support that and some do not. I am not sure how this CSS results to a resizing feature. Typically, Firefox and IE have their own feature for image and table resizing. However, Kendo Editor cannot somehow control it. As I am aware, Chrome does not expose such a feature. Therefore, I can only guess how this CSS is relevant to the case.
Navigating with Tab key is not something that is supported. I suggest you posting it as a feature request in the Kendo UserVoice portal.
Hyperlinks are not operation in the content area. That is by design (in the browser) and this is how every editable DOM element works. You can try creating a simple editable DIV element in a simple page and you will see that the same will happen—links will not direct to the page assigned to. Mainly, this is an editable area. Thus, it is expected links to not navigate to different page. If they are to navigate, any content added in the element will be lost.

Ianko

HI Support Team,
As i already posted so many issue facing during implementation of Kendo Editor ( Specially for JSP Tag: ) but most of the queries not answered very properly.
Kindly request you to please answer the above query along with few new Queries mentioned below.
1: PasteCleanup:
I am not able to find the JSP tag inside kendo editor tag.So just let me know the how to use this feature inside
kendo editor tag .
pasteCleanup Object
Options for controlling how the pasting content is modified before it is added in the editor.
EXAMPLE:
<textarea id="editor"></textarea>
<script>
$("#editor").kendoEditor({
pasteCleanup: {
all: false,
css: false,
custom: null,
keepNewLines: false,
msAllFormatting: false,
msConvertLists: true,
msTags: true,
none: false,
span: false
}
});
</script>
2: After pasting anything inside Kendo editor, unable to place Cursor (Mouse Pointer) below .So just let me know how to put the cursor in new line.
@Note : kindly answer in the for JSP not for Html or dojo at priority.
Thanks & Regards
Rakesh
As far as I know, pasteCleanup options are planned to be live for 2016 R2. Indeed, they are live in the documentation, but the feature is not announced yet in the release notes.
With the R2 release, demo on the topic (for JSP) will be live. Where you will be able to see the code that will enable you to use this feature. However, you can find attached the view of the JSP demo that is going to be live for R2. Note that this feature is not available in the current version.
As for the second difficulty, can you provide more details about that? What are the exact steps to reproduce? Working with this demo (http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/editor/index), pasting works fine and cursor is still in the content area, enabling user to either type text or enter new line by using Enter key.

We are
facing this issue at client Side and very High Priority Issue.
So kindly provide some solution on immediate
basis.
The archive sent appears to be corrupted. After downloading it, it is empty.
As for JSP, note that Kendo UI widgets are entirely client-side oriented and the JSP wrappers are only a utility to configure and serialize a client-side widget. That said, possible problems with the JSP wrappers should be reproducible with the client-side widgets as well.
As for the previously discussed topics. I am unable to find any unanswered queries or concerns. Note that through your queries there are reports that I was unable to reproduce, others are expected behaviors and some are features requests that you can post in the Kendo User Voice portal as suggestions for future development.
If your concern is with the pasteCleanup options, I can guarantee you that they are live and running and you can upgrade to the latest available version to use them in your application.

Here you are my answers to your queries:
- Issue 1: I was unable to reproduce any issues with backspace key in the mentioned demo. Here you are a screen record of my test: http://screencast.com/t/L9ene1qSrOtZ.
- Issue 2: This is a bug. I have logged it in the backlog. You can monitor its progress from here: https://github.com/telerik/kendo-ui-core/issues/1873.
- Issue 3: I was unable to reproduce the described behavior. On my end backspace on the empty list item properly removes the list item and adds a paragraph after the list. Here you are a screencast: http://screencast.com/t/aYUFFL0MQndz.

Sorry for replying to an old post, but...
I've encountered the same issue when the backspace key jumps a fragment of content to the end of the editor content and found that it was related to us having some whitespace between the editor element tag and the content that we were editing. Any trailing or leading whitespace really seems to screw up the behaviour. Ensuring that this is trimmed in and out of the DB before being output has meant that the editor has gone from being quite frustrating to pretty robust.
Kind regards,
Greg
