Morning All,

Are there any plans to release a light box or image gallery control?

I have seen your AeroViewer Demo , which is close to my clients requirement but as yet no source to see which controls you have used to create it.

Are controls for multimedia on your RoadMap?

Cheers

Steven

Hi Steven,

We do agree that light box/image gallery widgets along with other media components can be useful additions to our Kendo UI offering. They will probably be contemplated sometime next year, but presently we cannot commit to any specific date for their delivery.

In the interim is there any chance that we can get a copy of the AeroViewer Demo Source?

Hi Steve_Ba14,

The present version of the AeroViewr application uses a large amount of custom code which is not directly connected to our Kendo UI widgets per se (Flickr connector, custom logic related to the mobile support, etc.).

We do intend to update the application next year in order to minimize the code and take full advantage of the features of the upload, window, slider, etc. widgets, which is not the case now. When this happens, we will disclose the source code of the application as a separate zip package to the general public. For now you can inspect the html source of the page to get a common understanding of the js logic used there.

Kind regards,
Sebastian

So why show something on your Kendo page that Kendo can't do? If the answer is "Kendo can do this but it requires a lot of custom code" isn't that true of anything? What exactly is the aeroviewr supposed to demonstrate?

Hi Matthew,

The AeroViewr application was written long before Kendo UI release its first beta and was meant as a technology preview - a lot of it can be done much better now and can use previously non existing widgets, thus minimizing the usage of custom code.

Hello,

Is the demo source code for the AeroViewr sample app available now? It's been over 2 years...

Thanks, Gabriel
