kgrid Grouping expand / collapse bug with virtual scrolling

Hi all,

 

I'd like a report a bug I seem to be experiencing with the kendo grid when grouping with virtual scrolling.

When collapsing/expanding groups with virtual scrolling enabled, the scroll height of the grid content does not get updated, and this unfolds into all sorts of weird side effects.

 

Does anyone know of a workaround?

Hello Michael,

 

The Grid will not resize itself when groups are collapsed, this is needed because the Grid uses a virtual scrollbar that needs to be calculated on the fly, therefore resizing when a group is collapsed is not handled, and Grid persists its height setting.

Hello Matt,

There is no workaround for this as this is the intended behavior. You can try calling the refresh() method of the grid, however it will not work in all scenarios, and might cause some performance delays.
