Kendo-Vue-grid vs Kendo-grid-Vue-Wrapper

What is the difference between the two as in what would be the scenarios in which one would be better than the other? I would like to understand in detail please.

Also prop 'GridColumn' is only available in the grid wrapper and not the native grid. What is the reason behind that?

Are there any components in Kendo UI for VUE that do not support Typescript?

Thanks for your time,
Hiba

Hello Hiba,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Detailed information about the differences between the wrappers and the native components can be found in the following help article:

The wrappers were added before the native components were created and they use the Kendo UI for jQuery widgets.

As for which component to use, we highly recommend using the native components, since the Kendo UI for Vue team is responsible for updating those components. Additionally, at some point, the support for the wrapper components will be dropped. Currently, only components that are not available in the native package should be used from the wrappers, but we are in the process of adding them in the native suite as well.

Regarding the TypeScript version, the Kendo UI for Vue native components are fully compatible with TypeScript:

Please let us know if further questions arise on this matter.
