I created a Kendo Chart that uses xml remote data for the dataSource. I added a "seriesClick" event to the Kendo chart and I added an alert statement in the seriesClick callback function. When I load the Kendo chart on an IPAD, I click one of the bars (series) on the bar chart, but it usually takes 2 or 3 clicks before the alert statement appears. Also, when I click one of the bars on the chart, the whole chart is highlighted as well. I don't have any of these issues when I run it in a browser on my PC, it only happens when using the Safari browser on an IPAD.

Is this a limitation of the Kendo chart on an IPAD, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Hello Phil,

The "seriesClick" behavior you have observed is expected - at this stage Kendo UI Chart does not explose touch events. We are aware of this limitation and will do our best to address it for future versions of the product. As for the highlighted chart - I am not sure if I understand you correctly. Could you please elaborate a bit more on the exact outcome? Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Thank you Iliana for the response.

The "highlighted chart" comment just means that when you click on the chart, sometimes the whole chart gets highlighted. Basically the "div" that contains the chart is being highlighted, so you see a gray background behind the chart. If the  touch events are not exposed, then that is probably why the "div" gets highlighted. Thanks again for your help:)

This is affecting us too. Any idea when you will have touch support for pie and column charts seriesClick?

Thanks

Will this be available as a normal release via the download page?  I see a build from last Wednesday as well and it appears that releases are published every 2 months or so.

Hello Javan,

Internal builds are available for download for commercial license holders only, usually once per week. They are available in your account's product download section. Please stand by for the next internal build to be published this week.

Hi Sebastian, I see build 1323 but I don't see this listed in the release notes.   Do you know if this made it in?

thank you

Hello,

I believe it is included, but something went wrong with the release notes. Thanks for noticing.

Please, give it a try and let us know if you're still experiencing the problem.
