Kendo Chart iPad Series Click

Our users are having problems effecting the series click event on iPad, especially when the width of the bars on a column chart is particularly narrow. The Roadmap for Dataviz states that the Q3 2012 release will include new chart interactions that support touch "out of the box" - can anybody from Telerik confirm whether existing interactions (i.e. series click) will see improved functionality from touch based devices in the Q3 2012 release?

Could you please share more detailed information about the exact functionality / improvements/ interactions you would like to be available in Kendo UI - we will definitely consider them? Hi Iliana

That's excellent news. The main problem with the column / bar chart series click arises when there is a large number of columns on the chart - the click event only applies to the column itself and not the margin surrounding it. The touch of a finger (especially larger finger tips!) is obviously far less precise than a mouse click, so it's easy for the user to "miss" the clickable area and then get frustrated that they can't interact with the chart. It would therefore improve the situation if the column plus it's surrounding margin responded to user touch.

Beyond the above, it would potentially be useful if the dataviz controls exposed swipe and gesture events, but I assume you're already working on that functionality.
