I'm working on my first mobile application with icenium.  I started it a few months ago prior to the November release of Kendo mobile (2013.3.119).

I notice that the kendo.mobile.min.js & kendo.mobile.all.min.css files in my application are out of date (v2013.2.729).

My questions are

1.) Does icenium utilize the latest release of Kendo mobile or is there a lag?

2.) if it does and I'm just behind, what's the preferred way of updating these files? (it seems like if i try to download mobile bits from kendo it wants me to download a 30 day trial)

3.) Finally (and probably related) when i look at the Mobile Demos online i see some really nice new "Adaptive Widgets"  are those supported in icenium?

thanks much for your help.  Randall

Hi Randall,

The latest supported version for Kendo UI Mobile and Kendo UI DataViz is 2013.2.1021.

Here are the answers to your questions.

  1. The team aims to provide support for the latest stable releases of the supported frameworks. That is, there might be delay between the general release of a new framework version and its support in Icenium. The delay is due to integration and stability testing, and updating the code libraries in the related templates and sample apps.
Updates to existing projects do not happen automatically and users need to apply them manually.
  2. Should you need to update your framework code libraries, follow this procedure. This way you will update your code libraries to their latest supported and verified version (recommended).
  3. Scheduler and Grid (the adaptive widgets) are part of Kendo UI Web and not Kendo UI Mobile. To add them to your project, you would also need to add the Kendo UI Web framework libraries to your project and add the corresponding script includes in your index.html. You can learn how to add files and folders to your project here
