Is a person a resource?

I'm about to build a calendar/booking-system for a hairdresser salon - I need to show today´s appointments for all employees side by side.. should each employee be a resource then?

I have exactly the same question.
I currently have an ASP.NET app which has rooms as a resource.
It then displays all rooms with their associated availability side by side.
I started creating this app in WinForms but cannot achieve the same results with the WinForms scheduler.
Is this currently not possible?
Is so how?
If not, will it be possible in the Q2 release?

I'll paste the answer to Brian's question (from the comments of this blog post) here:

We plan to add this feature in Q3 2009 release of RadControls for WinForms (a preview may be available earlier). And while we would want, we will not have time to prepare this feature for Q2 2009 release. Any suggestions that you may have for this feature are very welcome.

Regarding Ibleif's question, yes you could think of persons as resources in terms of RadScheduler (you can change the label beside the resources combo box if you want). However, RadScheduler will accept any IResource implementation, so you could create a custom PersonResource class that implements the IResource interface and also has some custom properties and logic.

We will also consider adding support for multiple resource types in a future release.

it would be nice to have the same possibilities for Radscheduler in Winform and ASP.NET AJAX.

For example if you want to connect against the same database from Winform Application (let's say admin-mode) or an Webapplication (user-Mode).

I believe most customer would most likely have less but compatible features.

Thank you for writing. We are aware that the compatibility between the WinForms and ASP.NET scheduler controls is important. However you should note that the ASP.NET scheduler is much more mature than the WinForms one, so it is completely normal that the latter is missing some of the features.

Also, the platforms are totally different and it is nearly impossible for some features to be compatible or implemented at all.

Regarding the data binding, the SchedulerBindingDataSource allows binding to a lot of data sources. And you could always implement a custom data source that will be able to handle your specific data schema.

When will the Q3 release be available?  I see lots of references to it being "a few days away", but no date.  I am a new potential customer, trying to solve some dev problems and evaluating telerik components.  I have the same need as the other posters in this topic, so Q3 will be pivotal in my decision.
