I wanted to try your components for .NET MAUI & WINUI.

I was able to make the MAUI demo work.

I can't find the Telerik.WinUI.Controls.Trial NUGet package for the WINUI demo.

Thank you.

Hello Marco,

The reason you do not see Telerik UI for WinUI in your packages list is because your account has never had a license for it.

You will need to either:

Once your account gets that license (commercial or trial), you will then see it in the Telerik NuGet server search results.

Thank you for the advice, but unfortunately it didn't work.

I went to the license manager and it's empty. Honestly, I don't know what to do. How can I evaluate these components?

Your account still does not have a UI for WinUI license on it. Are you sure you're signed into telerik.com with the same account when you click the "Start trial" button?

Let's go through this a step at a time to make sure we've covered all the bases:

  1. Go to https://www.telerik.com
  2. Go to Telerik UI for WinUI
  3. Click the "Download Free Trial" button.
  4. Run the installer to finish installation.
  5. Then go to https://www.telerik.com/account/downloads
  6. Do you see Progress® Telerik® UI for WinUI in the list?
    1. If yes, then the Telerik NuGet server will also show the packages.
    2. If no, then let me know and I'll ask the Sales team to provision a trial for you manually.

We automatically give the person, who is currently signed in, a trial license as soon as they click the 'download trial' button. It is a bit strange that you downloaded it and still do not have a trial license.

Hi Marco, I reached out to some folks who have the capability to manually add a license to your account. They were able to manually assign a new trial for Telerik UI for WinUI on your account (which uses the "marco@xxxxx.xx" email address).

For future situations, you can start a trial for a product by downloading the trial installer. Just make sure you're signed in if you want the license assigned automatically.

Thank you. Now it works! I followed the steps you gave me several times but I couldn't see the package.

This still seems to be a problem. I downloaded your desktop Control Panel app and installed the Telerik UI for WinUI product through that but the account web page still claims I have no active trials. I tried to download it using your link (https://www.telerik.com/winui ) but still have no active trial.

Thus I can not find the Telerik.WinUI.Controls.Trial package.

It seems that the license assigned that should happen during the Activation step in the Control Panel wasn't successful, since there is no trial license assigned to your account yet. We have double checked our logs, but it seems that no activation action related to your account reached our servers. I have two guess what might have happened:

  • Is it possible that you downloaded the Control Panel with your account (d.gruethling[at]*****************.**) and then logged it with another account when the installation prompted for log in information? If so, then you can check the other account for the trial license.
  • Or something broke locally during the installation.

In any case, I recommend you to dwonload  try the Telerik UI for WinUI trial again and see if the license is assigned this time. To do that:

  1. Make sure you are signed with the proper account in telerik.com.
  2. Go back to the UI for WinUI product page https://www.telerik.com/winui
  3. Click the Download Free Trial button again (you do not need to run the installer).
  4. Wait a couple minutes and check the NuGet server again. This can take up to an hour, but usually updates in 5-10 minutes with license changes.

I am logged into the website and all prompts with the same account that I am logged in now.

I also downloaded the free trial multiple times this day and another 3 times now after your answer. But nothing changes related to my trial licenses.

I think your detection may be broken.

Thank you for taking the effort to try that and report your results. We have assigned a trial license for your account manually. We will further investigate the issue.
